Burlingame Library, Lane Room

Jason and Sean Mendelson will present their childhood memories of
being the voices of various characters as well as their discovery
and rerecording of the soundtrack of the Easter Beagle special. We will be sponsoring this special event on the evening of Wednesday, April 2 at 6:30 pm in the Lane Room. Admission is free.

Many know that the Charlie Brown TV specials were produced right here in
Burlingame by the Lee Mendelson Film Production company. In
fact, many local children provided the voices for the comic strip
characters.

In honor of Snoopy’s 75th birthday this year–and just
in time for Easter–the production company is releasing for the first
time ever the complete Vince Guaraldi soundtrack for “It’s the
Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown.” When Lee Mendelson first
teamed up with Vince Guaraldi, the television networks resisted
the idea of jazz music for a children’s animation film. Now we
can’t imagine anything else accompanying Charlie Brown. Jason
and Sean Mendelson will present their childhood memories of
being the voices of various characters as well as their discovery
and rerecording of the soundtrack of the Easter Beagle special.

The soundtrack will be available on vinyl, CD (and digital) on April
2, or you can get your copy at the museum (located in the
Burlingame train station) when the Mendelsons join us there on
April 6 between 1-4 pm.
