On Thursday, September 17th, the James R. and Jessie Murphy residence was successfully moved in two sections from 1128 Douglas Avenue, over the Oak Grove Avenue railroad crossing, to its new home at 524 Oak Grove Avenue, where it will be restored and enlarged in the months to come. The Burlingame Historical Society will be conducting 3 free walking tours at approx. 45 min. to 1 hour each: 1 pm Choose between a new architectural tour of downtown (meet at train station) or a tour of Broadway (meet in Wells Fargo lot on Chula Vista) 3 pm New tour of Easton Addition (meet at Easton branch library) 1-4 pm Museum Open, 290 California Drive. at the Railroad Station
