Join us for our Quarterly Event:  Walking Tour: A Creek Runs Through It Sunday August 2nd at 1pm Starts from Burlingame Ave. Train Station The tour will discuss how the Burlingame Creek once wreaked havoc on the downtown area, the new Town Square, Mummy’s Cave and the site of the Anza expedition camp.  The tour will be approximately ½ mile on flat ground with limited shade. Meet at the Burlingame Avenue Railroad Station (290 California Drive) at 1 pm on August 2 for a walk through downtown Burlingame to El Camino Real. Presented in conjunction with the San Mateo County Historical Association's Victorian Days. Bring a hat and water.  

Presentation sponsored by the Burlingame Historical Society about the Anza Expedition of 1776, comprised Spanish soldiers, missionaries and colonists, they walked from Mexico to the SF Bay Area and camped in Burlingame in March, 1776.

Join us for a presentation by retired Burlingame Police Chief Jack Van Etten who oversaw his investigation team who identified and arrested the suspects which led to one of longest sentencing convictions in county history.
